Wisby Armour

When I make something like a gauntlet, or any other piece of armour, I try as much as possible to check out the existing originals. The battle of wisby is an excellent example of armour which was not pretty enough to end up in a museum, and yet was clearly used. These illustrations are the ones I use to create my own "South Tower Gauntlet", and were taken from an original copy of "Armour from the Battle of Wisby", available in much less expensive reprint from Chivalry Bookshelf.... http://www.chivalrybookshelf.com/titles/wisby/wisby.htm

A very useful book...and high on my recommendations for useful books for anybody serious about making armour.
